Meet Marguerite B. Rose Eckle

The Marguerite Suite honors Marguerite B. Rose Eckle (1902–1982), a pioneering professional in early 1900s Scottsbluff. As one of thirteen women at the Western Public Service company, she played a vital role managing accounts and operating the telephone switchboard with precision.

Her work—at a time when women were newly entering the workforce—helped modernize the city’s infrastructure and represents the quiet strength behind its growth.
